    Where you can help:

I am looking for good music to use as background track for the game and/or the menu. If you are or know a good musician or have found something free on the web that would fit, let me know. The favourite format would be MOD ( .mod, .xm, .s3m, .669, .it, .med, ... ), but MIDI's, Ogg Vorbis and MP3's have a chance, too. The reason for MOD preference is the download size; I am reluctant to triple the installer size just for the music, so the only option for MP3's of reasonable length and quality is a separate download.
There is the technical possibility to jump to specific sections of the music on special occasions ( menu entry, game start, champion declaration, death ), if you specifically write music, it may be a good idea to have suitable jump-in points ( I guess this is only doable satisfactory with MOD type files, another reason why I prefer them ).
My personal taste does not really matter in this ( Death Metal anyone? ); I guess either electronic stuff or plain old rock would be best. Menu background music should be calm ( you don't notice it is there at all, but miss it when it is gone ) or tension-building ( difficult since you don't know how long it will play ), game music can be agitating or entrancing. But what do I know? I'm just a programmer.

What I currently don't need: All kind of graphics. The rendering code is not final, so everything you send me will have to be reworked sometime. And proper modification support is not yet included in the game, so it will not be possible to install several graphic packs in parallel. The same goes for more sounds. Of course, If you are eager to show something for later use, send it in. But be patient with me, it may take a year or more before I can inegrate it into the game. I'll post it on the announcements mailing list when the game gets ready for new data.
Coders should take a good look at the source before they decide to help, it is a mess.

    If all else fails:

Of course, direct personal contact is always possible. Just send a mail to , it will be processed as fast as possible ( note that in the past, that sometimes meant months of delay ).
